What are your business hours?
We are open on business days between 9am and 5pm. We can be contacted outside these times for emergencies only.

When do you require payment?
We require one third of the total website cost prior to starting your site. Once your website is completed, your final payment is required. Submission to search engines and receipt of passwords for cpanel, is only done once full payment has been received.

Do you offer any discounts?
Yes, we offer discounts to Wedding Industry Academy members, schools and non profit organisations.

What is a URL?
A universal resource locator, or URL, is the text typed into you web browsers address box, to direct it to the website you wish to view. An example of a URL is http://www.synergyinfusion.com.au.

What is a domain name?
A domain name becomes part of your URL, that you select to represent your business, service or product. Our domain name is "synergyinfusion.com.au". Domain names range in price and length of registration period.

What is web hosting?
Web hosting is a monthly fee that you pay to have your site accessible on the Internet. All files required for your website are kept on servers, which are connected constantly to the internet, making them accessible to the world wide web.

Am I able to transfer from another hosting provider to Synergy in Fusion.
Yes, it is possible, and we have no setup fees. For monthly rates, please contact us.

Can I organise my own web hosting but have my site completed by Synergy in Fusion?
Yes. But you will forfeit the three months free hosting and updates.

What information can we find out from C-Panel? C-Panel contains a large amount of information and tools, for your website hosting. The most useful area for our clients, are the statistics available on visitors to your website. You will be able to view how many people are visiting, what pages they a looking at, where they have come from and when a search engine crawls your site, to name just a few. Most other areas of C-Panel can have a large effect on your website, and it is therefore best not to make any changes to settings or files. If Synergy in Fusion needs to correct any changes, this will be at the clients expense.

How do I access C-Panel?
There is an access link on the front page of the Synergy in Fusion website. Click on the link and enter your username and password.

There is alot of information in C-Panel statistics. What should I look at?

Within cpanel go to awstats.

Refering search engines - when a person does a search in a search engine, such as google, a list of sites will be shown. If the person then clicks on your link from the list, it means the search engines has referred you. When this occurs, the search engine will be added to this list. So you will be able to tell which search engines your visitors have come from.

Refering sites - to increase visitors to your website, you will have other websites and directories add links to your site. When a visitor enters your site after clicking on a link on another persons site, the site that had the link will be included here. This will enable you to see which site your visitors have come from.

Robots/Spiders visitors - Search engines send robots and/or spiders to crawl through sites, to check their content and include them in their databases. This area shows when a search engine has crawled through your site. Some search engine robots are not listed here with the same name as the search engine. Listed below are popular search engines with their robot/spider name:
GOOGLE: Googlebot
YAHOO: inktomi Slurp
MSN: msnbot

Monthly history - gives you information on the amount of visitors to your site. The unique visitors is quite valuable, as it is showing the number of visitors, without including visitors who have viewed your site on more than one occasion as separate visitors. You can also break this down further into Days of month, Days of week and Hours, which will give great information about the number of times your site is viewed but does not provide details of unique visitors. Countries - this provides a list of the countries your visitors come from.

Search Keyphrases and Search Keywords - This area shows which phrases and keywords have been picked up by the search engines for you web site.

Within cpanel go to Latest visitors

Latest visitors - will give indepth information about where a recent visitor has been within your site. This is good to see the pages that are of interest to the visitor.

Why can't I just build my own website?
There are many options if a person wanted to build there own website. Software programs, such as Microsoft Frontpage, make this quite easy for people, with no knowledge of the coding languages required. But, there are many facets to building an effective website, which these programs cannot produce. The web developers at Synergy in Fusion are university qualified, with skills in graphic design, aesthetics, user experience, optimisation and internet marketing.

How long does it take to get my site online?
We work to a two week time frame, from the receipt of all your content. For extremely large websites, more time may be required, and a date will be decided on prior to work beginning.

What should I do prior to the consultation?
Have a look at websites and keep note of which aspects you like and which you don't Even if you don't like the entire site, but rather one aspect of it, keep a record of this. Consider the look and feel you want for your site, and the message you are trying to portray. Also have a think about the content you which to display.

If I have Synergy in Fusion create my website, will it always need to be maintained by Synergy in Fusion?
No, you will be able to hand the site over to someone else at any time. Just remember to inform us, so we are able to stop charging you for updates.

What should I include on my website?
This depends on your requirements and the purpose of your website. If the website is for a business, it will be advantageous to display as much information as possible about your business, and the goods and/or services you provide. This can include photographs, video, text or diagrams. For a large range of goods, a database may be the best way to hold this information and provide you with the ability to keep the information up to date. You could also have a shopping cart included to enable visitors to your site to make purchases online. We will be able to advise the best options for your business.

What do I need to supply?
If you currently have a domain name, we will require the domain name authinfo password for .au domains. You will need to supply your description, title and keywords. As far as the content for your website, please provide us with your final content, as changes to content once it has been placed in the site, will incur further fees.

What are the ongoing costs?
You will need to continue to keep your domain name registered and pay for hosting.

What steps are involved in the web design process?
Contact us and we will organise a consultation, where we can discuss your business and requirements. After this we will send you a quotation. If this is acceptable, we will then forward to you a contract. The contract makes sure we both understand the work that will be done and each of our responsibilities. Once you return the signed contract and one third of the overall fee, we will produce four designs for your perusal. You may mix these designs together or select one which can be altered, until you are totally happy with it. Once the design is finalised, we will begin creating your webpages, including the content you have provided. You will be shown a working version of your website prior to it being published to the world on the internet. After final payment has been received, we will submit your site to the top search engines and provide you with cpanel access.

What are the charges for keeping my website up to date?
It is a great idea to keep your website current. If your site is hosted with Synergy in Fusion, updates, such as changing a portion of text and an image, are included in this fee. For more significant changes, we charge at an hourly rate. We will also gladly provide quotes for extra pages or increased functionality.

Why can't I find my web site on search engines?
It can take some time, weeks, possibly months, for search engines to look through your website and include it in their database.

What else can I do to get my website higher on search engine rankings?
List your website on the directories that are listed here. Have reciprocal links, where another website links to you and you link to them. All our websites have a links page at no extra charge, for this very purpose. Include lots of relevant textual content, and make sure your keywords, description and title are included throughout your text.

How else can I direct more visitors to my website?
You can increase visitors to your website by placing your web address on your business cards, letterheads, envelopes, invoices, signage, vehicles, answering machine and advertisements.

What is the purpose of the description, title and keywords?
Search engines look for relevant websites to answer people searches. They use the description and title, and compare these to the textual content within your website, to see if your site is relevant for the query.

How do I select the words for the description, title and keywords?
The title and description are essential for search engines, therefore the words used in these must be throughout the text on your web pages, to increase you ranking. There is a limit to the amount of characters (including spaces) that can be used in these areas. Though there is much debate as to what these limits are, the following work well. The description is an extension of the title. The keywords words are not used as much by search engines as they used to be, but are still used by some.
